Requirements

  • High School diploma required.
  • 1-2 years of related drafting experience required.
  • CAD experience is required.
  • Working knowledge and experience with GD&T, required.
  • Knowledge of and experience with ASME Y14.5M and/or subsequent revisions to this document, required.
  • Adaptability and attention to detail, required.
  • Experience with some form of product data management (PDM) system, with working knowledge of vaults/libraries for file storage/access control.
  • This position requires U.S. Person status as defined by applicable law for authorized access to data controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). A U.S. Person includes U.S. Citizens, U.S. Nationals, lawful permanent residents, and workers granted refugee or asylum status in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • An Associate’s degree or 1 to 3 years business or technical school preferred.
  • experience with Solidworks, specifically, is preferred.
  • Synergis Adept, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate models, assemblies, and drawings of Greene, Tweed products according to Greene, Tweed Drafting Standards, following the guidance of the relevant Engineer/Designer, Drafting Team Lead, or Drafting Manager, as required.
  • Define part numbers and maintaining logs, as required, following procedures set forth by the ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality system in place for all Greene, Tweed facilities.
  • Process Part Number Add (PNA) requests by generating product documentation for standard and non-standard product across all Greene, Tweed Product Lines and within standard service level agreements.
  • Process Product Change Requests by controlling and updating Greene, Tweed product documentation across all Greene, Tweed Product Lines and within standard service level agreements.
  • Coordinate the disposition of work-in-progress (WIP), current inventory, and impact of the change on other products through collaboration with Applications Engineering and relevant Operations departments.
  • Protect and control the electronic data generated within Greene, Tweed Engineering function through the proper use and maintenance of the digital file storage system (3DX).
  • Work within the work instructions and guidelines set forth for internal design and drafting standards as well as the ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality systems in place for all Greene, Tweed facilities.
  • Work within the work instructions and standards defined for the generation of marketing materials for use on the internet web site and other customer service-related systems that disseminate technical information for customer use across all Greene, Tweed Product Lines.
  • Support maintenance of work instructions under the direction of Drafter IIs or the Drafting Manager.
