About The Position

Hammond Lumber Company, voted 2025's Best Places to work in Maine, is seeking a Drafter & CAD Designer for our Auburn, Maine location.

Requirements

• 2 years of CAD experience is preferred
• Knowledge of Soft Plan Software would be a plus
• Successful applicant must be able to work with fellow employees in a fast-paced environment
• Must enjoy dealing with the public

Responsibilities

• Works with customers to accurately depict their residential design intentions on paper using Soft Plan
• Works with sales team to meet deadlines for designs and estimates
• Communicates with customers to identify and resolve design issues as they arise
• Establishes and maintains relationships with customers through superior customer service.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with engineers, architects and contractors prior to and during design and construction phases.
