About The Position

LDF is seeking an experienced Beverage Technician to join its Draft Department in the McAlester, OK area. This role is crucial for LDF's growth and success, focusing on designing, installing, and maintaining draft systems for On-Premise accounts, as well as providing necessary troubleshooting. The Beverage Technician will operate under regular supervision and directly support the On-Premise Sales Team. LDF, founded in 1983 by Larry D. Requirements

  • Intermediate skills in the use and knowledge of hand tools.
  • Understanding of electrical, heating and air, and carpentry.
  • Possess a basic understanding and use of computers and related software to include IPads.
  • In-depth knowledge of company product line, policies, procedures, and operations.
  • Possess grooming and hygiene consistent with maintaining good customer relations.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Completion of basic training program and specific on-the-job training on draft systems.
  • Articulate with business owners and managers in order to maintain good relations, explain and discuss problems and to offer solutions with regard to equipment and service.
  • Basic math and algebraic skills to deal with temperature/pressure equations and figure resistance.
  • Ability to make basic independent decisions.
  • Valid drivers’ license.

Responsibilities

  • Meets daily with On-Premise Sales Manager or Draft Manager to discuss any specific problems and opportunities and review daily plant pick up point.
  • Performs thorough line cleaning activities at all assigned accounts.
  • Resolves draft equipment problems as needed to maintain and improve customer service.
  • Designs, builds and installs draft systems when needed.
  • Educates and trains customers’ staff on the use and maintenance of draft systems.
  • Rotates all products as required by company procedures while in each account.
  • Cleans and maintains draft system storage room and frequently checks CO2 bottles.
  • Maintains all draft service and equipment in good working order, repairs equipment as assigned and assures its safekeeping.
  • Follows FDAA vehicle maintenance guidelines to include cleaning equipment and vehicle as needed.
  • Operates company vehicle according to Fleet Safety Manual and report any vehicles accident immediately to Draft Manager and follow the vehicle accident reporting policy contain therein.
  • Submits required reports in a timely manner, follows bookkeeping procedures regarding sales tickets, money and products used or sold.
  • Reports market trends, competitive activity and offers recommendations.
  • Performs all other duties as requested by Draft Manager.
