About The Position

The Draft Technician ensures that retailer draft accounts receive efficient and regular draft cleaning service, and that this service is of a high degree, bearing in mind the requirements of retailers. This role involves maintaining records, performing detailed cleaning procedures for beer taps and kegs, and actively monitoring beer departments to identify sales opportunities. The technician will also be responsible for updating tap surveys, staying informed about promotions, and participating in company and supplier programs. Communication with company personnel and adherence to regulations are key aspects of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to account service schedule and assignments.
  • Maintain records of suppliers’ draft accounts receiving service.
  • Record appropriate information on each call and make other reports as necessary.
  • Ensure at least one tap remains in operation while cleaning service is completed for accounts with multiple taps.
  • Perform draft cleaning service including un-tapping kegs, removing and cleaning faucets, pumping cleaning solution and water through lines, cleaning keg tapping devices, breaking down and cleaning faucets, replacing parts as needed, cleaning couplings, re-tapping kegs, and drawing beer until clean.
  • Clean working area, paying attention to the cleanliness of the standard and faucet.
  • Initiate clean out tags in duplicate and have the retailer sign.
  • Be prepared to install neon signs and other promotional point of sale items if requested.
  • Constantly monitor beer department in all assigned accounts, looking for opportunities to increase sales and distribution.
  • Remain informed of all current and upcoming promotions.
  • Update/complete tap survey at each assigned account, including competitive taps.
  • Be knowledgeable of Sales department’s strategies and objectives for all accounts.
  • Participate in Molson Coors Draft Certification program.
  • Participate in supplier quality assurance programs.
  • Ensure all time worked is properly and accurately recorded utilizing the appropriate, designated modes of timekeeping.
  • Maintain open and clear communications with the owners, managers, and other employees of the Company.
  • Comply with all relevant company policies and procedures outlined in the KEG 1 Iowa, LLC Employee Handbook.
  • Conduct all activities in accordance with local, state, and federal liquor control regulations.
