About The Position

This position requires an individual with efficiency and is important to the draft merchandising team. The Draft Technician will be responsible for maintaining the draft lines clean at all L&F accounts. They will be responsible for special events and assist salesman as required. One main objective is to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with each of his accounts. Employees will cooperate with other employees and members of the team to ensure customer satisfaction and increase sales. This class works under supervision to set procedures on how and when to complete tasks.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred.
  • Minimum 1-year work experience in customer service.
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal shift hours to accommodate various employee schedules.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
  • Strong team-player and the ability to have a good relationship with co-workers.
  • Must use proper personal protective equipment when dealing with line cleaning chemicals.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Must be able to pass criminal background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Performing fleet vehicle inspection checklist.
  • Maintaining the proper scheduling of their route to ensure timely draft lines are cleaned every (2) two weeks.
  • Maintaining good stock rotation and fill cooler boxes if one is available during service calls.
  • Determining if P.O.S needs repair or replacement.
  • Performing draft surveys, such as tap counts, as assigned.
  • Reading code dates. Checking code-dates and rotating products accordingly during every service call.
  • Determining close dated products and arranging for proper movement of product in conjunction with driver/salesperson and merchandiser.
  • Reporting any product, sales, or service complaint to your regional manager as it occurs.
  • Utilizing all P.O.S. materials available.
  • Maintaining adequate supplies of P.O.S. in vehicle, of all brands.
  • Communicating with the Regional Manager on out of stocks and any other issues that are important to the sales process.
  • Following proper lifting procedures.
  • Ensuring proper cleaning and complete rinsing of draft beer equipment and draft beer lines on a service frequency determined by the brewer.
  • Adequately tracking all line cleaning services using available technology (applications).
  • Replacing worn or broken draft beer equipment of lines.
  • Training to troubleshoot draft beer pouring, caused by temperature, pressure, cleanliness, or equipment problems.
  • Performing other duties as assigned and assisting in other areas as needed.
  • Loading/unloading beer cases at events and at account locations when requested by supervisor or when deemed necessary in maintaining customer satisfaction.
