About The Position
This position involves performing a variety of tasks related to public works, including construction, road repair, landscaping, litter control, storm drain repairs, forestry maintenance, traffic sign maintenance, and snow/ice control. Work is performed under the direction of road maintenance supervisors and senior equipment operators during all weather conditions.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Valid Michigan Operator's license
- Must be able to operate a one-ton or less, medium size vehicle, plow snow and tow a trailer
- Must be able to safely operate various types of power tools
Nice To Haves
- Associates degree preferred
- Possess a Commercial Pesticide Application license category 6 & 3b or able to obtain one within 120 days of the hire date
