About The Position

This role is expected to perform experiments to support downstream process development activities for viral vectors manufacturing. Execute Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF) operations, including system setup, processing, monitoring, and documentation. Support downstream processing activities, including Clarification, Nuclease Treatment, Filter Screening, Sterile Filtration and AEX chromatography (both manual and AKTA-based operations). Perform and support column packing activities. Capture, maintain, and document process parameters and analytical data within the project Master Data File. Assist with inventory management and the procurement of project supplies to ensure material availability and operational continuity. Record and analyze experimental data, verify data integrity and accuracy. Report/summarize findings to the project team. Write technical documents and maintain work records in electronic notebooks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a related scientific discipline is required with 2+ years of direct Downstream experience, Masters degree with 0-2 years experience.
  • Hands-on experience in purification of proteins or biologics is required.
  • Broad knowledge in chromatography techniques and purification process development is required.
  • Ability to document work accurately in notebooks, protocols, reports, and electronic systems.
  • Strong scientific, organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • GMP knowledge and experience working in a regulated laboratory environment.
  • Previous experience with transfer of a purification process to clinical and commercial GMP manufacturing is preferred.
