About The Position

Dura-Line is hiring for a Downstream Operator in Salt Lake City, UT. Schedule: DAY SHIFT AND NIGHT SHIFT AVAILABLE--6:45 am-7 pm or 6:45 pm-7 am ($20.50). WORK MON/TUE, OFF WED/THUR, WORK FRI/SAT/SUN OFF MON/TUE, WORK WED/THUR, OFF FRI/SAT/SUN, REPEAT. Only Work 15 days a month!!!! Every Other Weekend is a 3 DAY WEEKEND !!!! One week you work 48 hours and the next week you work 36 hours. Paid Bi-Weekly. Total of 85.75 hours for a pay period (76.75 regular hours & 9 hours of overtime). SIGN-ON BONUS OFFERED: $500 after 90 days, $1,000 after 180 days totaling $1,500.00. Requirements

• High school education preferred.
• Basic math/measurement & reading comprehension skills
• At least 6 months of equipment or machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to maintain safety, quality, and attention to detail in repetitive activities.
• Experience using measuring devices and hand tools.
• Ability to follow work instructions and use basic math.

Nice To Haves

• Material handling or forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use tools and measuring devices to ensure the final product meets specifications and to catch abnormalities.
• Collaborate with team members so orders are wound onto reels correctly.
• Ensure neat wraps on reels.
• Cut, tie off, and cap conduit when reels or cable are complete.
• Monitor print and footage, and make corrections as needed.
• Perform checks for product and packaging requirements.
• Complete paperwork for inventory transactions.
• Assist the Line Operator during start-ups and support operators with cutting, tie-offs, and reel changes.
• Participate in training, safety, and continuous improvement activities.
• Report unsafe conditions and broken equipment.
