Provide ongoing virtual doula support across pregnancy and postpartum, grounded in emotional support, education, and preparation. This role involves conducting onboarding and proactive outreach using structured workflows and communication tools, delivering 1:1 sessions, and contributing to group-based education on topics such as birth preparation, postpartum recovery, feeding, and newborn care. The doula will educate members and families on the childbirth process, postpartum recovery, newborn care, and feeding options, and support members in developing birth preferences and preparing for labor and delivery. They will share practical tools for comfort, including breathing techniques, relaxation strategies, and other coping methods, and help members navigate conversations with partners and healthcare providers to support informed, aligned decision-making. Building trust and understanding individual needs through ongoing, relationship-based support is key. The role also involves encouraging engagement with Canopie services, reinforcing care plans aligned with coaching and clinical teams, and identifying when additional clinical or lactation support may be beneficial, following defined referral pathways. All interactions must be documented clearly and efficiently within Canopie’s platform, and communication with members will occur via phone, video, and secure messaging.
