About The Position
Central Maine Healthcare is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving 400,000 people living in central, western and Midcoastal Maine. CMH's hospital facilities include Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Bridgton Hospital and Rumford Hospital. CMH also supports Central Maine Medical Group, a primary and specialty care practice organization. Other system services include the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute, a regional trauma program, LifeFlight of Maine's southern Maine base, the Central Maine Comprehensive Cancer Center and other high-quality clinical services. This is a critical, high-impact role in cancer treatment planning utilizing advanced technology such as IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, and RapidArc. The position offers a predictable outpatient schedule and good work-life balance within a modern, patient-centered cancer care environment. It involves highly specialized and intellectually engaging work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary oncology team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy Technology or related area.
- Registered R.T.(T.) by the A.R.R.T.
- Strong verbal and written skills.
- Comprehensive Knowledge of Federal, State and Local regulatory standards required.
Nice To Haves
- Certified Medical Dosimetrist preferred.
- Previous dosimetry experience with knowledge of Varian Eclipse treatment planning software desired.
Responsibilities
- Performs treatment planning by measuring and calculating radiation doses and develops optimum arrangement of radiation fields and exposures to treat patient.
