About The Position

Dosimetrist at Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR. Full-Time/Day Shift - Monday - Friday from 8am-4:30pm Performs isodose treatment planning by means of computer and/or manual computation to determine the optimal treatment technique that delivers a prescribed radiation dose to patients. Works closely with the Radiation Oncologists and Medical Physicist in planning the radiation therapy by performing radiation dose distribution to achieve the desired clinical goals. Interfaces with information services and demonstrates a clear understanding and knowledge of computer applications and systems related to Radiation Therapy. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physical science or equivalent and graduate of a medical dosimetry program with minimum of 2 years clinical practice, OR Bachelor’s Degree in Physical science or equivalent with on-the-job training in medical dosimetry program under the supervision of a certified medical dosimetrist, radiation physicist and radiation oncologist with minimum of 3 years clinical experience, OR CMD holders received prior to 2011 may substitute ARRT registry for Bachelor degree per the MDCB (Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board).
  • Upon hire: National Certified Medical Dosimetrist - Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with RayStation treatment planning system and Elekta Mosaiq system.
