About The Position

Hematology Oncology Associates of CNY (HOACNY), voted one of Central New York’s Best Places to Work, has an opening for a permanent full-time Dosimetrist. The successful candidate will join a strong and highly collaborative team of 3 Physicists, 1 Physics Associate and 3 Dosimetrists. HOACNY has two Cancer Treatment Centers as well as providing coverage for an affiliate center. We operate with two Varian TrueBeam Linacs and a Cyberknife system operating on the ARIA OIS platform and utilizing Eclipse (with Radformation) and Precision treatment planning systems. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in any field or hold an active registration with the ARRT in Radiation Therapy and a New York State License.
Previous experience in a Radiation Therapy Department recommended.
Certified Medical Dosimetrist.
Active registration with the ARRT in Radiation Therapy and New York State license preferred.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of a Radiation Oncologist, Certified Chief Medical Dosimetrist, and general supervision of a Physicist, the dosimetrist performs calculations, 2D and 3D planning, IMRT, and any other necessary planning for radiation treatments.
