About The Position

Glenmont Job Corps Center is seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate, and dependable Dorm Supervisor to lead their residential team. This role involves mentoring young adults, building positive relationships, and creating a safe and supportive environment for students to thrive. The Dorm Supervisor will help students develop the skills, confidence, and habits needed for success in life and their careers, contributing to a vibrant residential community. The position is full-time, with hours from Sunday to Thursday, 3 PM to 12 AM, with Fridays and Saturdays off.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one (1) year of Job Corps experience or experience in a related youth development, residential, educational, or workforce program
  • Valid in-state driver's license

  • Associate of Arts Degree from an accredited institution

Responsibilities

  • Creating and maintaining a safe, clean, and structured dormitory environment
  • Supporting student growth, retention, achievement, and overall success
  • Supervising and leading residential staff to ensure quality student support
  • Building positive relationships with students while encouraging accountability and personal responsibility
  • Using sound judgment to resolve student and staff concerns professionally and effectively
  • Partnering with counseling staff to provide individualized case management and support student success
  • Promoting a positive residential culture where students feel respected, supported, and motivated
  • Conducting dorm inspections and ensuring compliance with center standards
  • Serving as a mentor who helps students develop life skills, leadership abilities, and confidence
