About The Position

WSI Trash & Recycling Valet is hiring a Doorstep Trash & Recycling Collector to provide nightly door side to dumpster trash and recycling valet services for a multifamily community in Herriman, UT. With short evening shifts during the week, this position is great for people looking to make some additional income while still enjoying a work life balance.

Requirements

Must be conscientious, reliable, and exhibit a friendly and helpful attitude towards on-site management and residents.
A valid Driver's License and ability to operate a motor vehicle in Idaho is required.
Valid documentation included but not limited to Auto Liability Insurance and Driver's license must be maintained.
Must be able to physically lift and transport up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to work in indoor and outdoor environments during various weather conditions.
Must be able to ascend or descend stairs and walk for prolonged periods of time.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to speak, read and write in English.
Possess a smartphone with an active data plan and location services enabled.

Nice To Haves

Some communities may also require the use of a personal open bed pickup truck.

Responsibilities

Collecting bagged trash, recycling, and broken-down cardboard from residents' door sides using on-site equipment.
Transporting these materials to designated on-site dumpsters, trash chutes, or compactors.
Separating recyclables into appropriate dumpsters and inspecting for contamination.
Engaging with residents you encounter, providing a friendly and professional service.
Issuing Educational Courtesy Compliance Notices for non-compliant trash or contaminated recycling, along with taking necessary photos.
Uploading photos and compliance notices into our app to document your findings.
Cleaning up any loose trash around dumpsters, chute rooms, or compactors.
Returning all equipment to its designated location after service completion.
Replacing bags at pet waste stations, collecting bagged pet waste, and managing community waste bins near doors or common areas such as pools and other amenities.
Checking in and out using our app.
Ascending and descending stairs, walking for long periods and lifting and carrying bags of residential trash.
