About The Position
Valet Living is hiring part-time Doorstep Trash Collection Specialists (Service Valets) to help keep apartment communities clean, safe, and comfortable for residents. This role involves collecting bagged trash and cardboard recycling from doorsteps and transporting it to an on-site compactor using a personal open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle with a trailer. Specialists will service one or more nearby apartment communities within their local area, working evening hours from Sunday to Thursday. The job requires physical activity such as walking properties, climbing stairs, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. A mobile app is used for check-ins, work tracking, and photo documentation. This position is ideal for individuals seeking a second job or supplemental income with consistent work and reliable hours. Requirements
- Own personal open-bed pickup truck (or vehicle with a trailer)
- Valid driver’s license
- Auto insurance
- At least 18 years old
- Smartphone with a data plan to use the work app
- Authorized to work in the U.S. (proof required)
- Ability to work independently and follow a consistent routine
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to walk long distances and climb multiple flights of stairs
- Ability to work around bagged trash and waste
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Responsibilities
- Collect bagged trash and cardboard recycling from apartment doorsteps
- Take collected items to the on-site compactor using a personal pickup truck
- Service one or more nearby apartment communities during the shift, all within the same local area
- Stay active by walking the property, climbing stairs, and working outdoors during the shift
- Use the mobile app to check in, track work, and take photos when needed
