About The Position

Performs one or more tasks to modify hollow metal doors as specified in a fabrication report, including undersizing in height and width, changing hinge locations, modifying or changing lock prep or location, glass light cutouts, and face-hole prep. This work is performed with various power hand tools and welding equipment. Finished doors are re-primed with water-based primer paint. Essential Functions: Attendance and Punctuality Ability to lift 50 lbs. Familiarity with the safe use of power hand tools for cutting and boring metal, priming and painting Welding skills Knowledge and understanding of fabrication orders, templates, and elevations Knowledge of door handing, door components, and application of parts Knowledge of how to read a tape measure Understanding of CURRIES code charts Ability to perform job in a safe and professional manner Qualifications Knowledge and understanding fabrication orders, templates, and elevations Knowledge of how to read a tape measure Knowledge of door handing, door components, and application of parts Welding skills Familiarity with power hand tools for cutting and boring metal, priming and painting Ability to be on feet all day Ability to bend and kneel Ability to lift 50 lbs.
