About The Position

Curries, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is hiring a Door Support Operations Manager to lead daily Door Support operations, including Door Parts, Door Paint, and Punch & Wash within their manufacturing operation located in Mason City, Iowa. This role plays a key part in ensuring efficient material flow, smooth production operations, and on-time delivery of high-quality products. The Door Support Operations Manager will manage daily support operations by assigning resources, supporting manufacturing teams, and removing barriers to performance. This role is a visible leader on the shop floor, promoting safety, engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing or operations environment preferred
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced production environment
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Flexibility to work hours as required by operational needs
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment

  • Post–high school education preferred

Responsibilities

  • Promote a safety-first culture, including stopping work when unsafe conditions or quality concerns are identified.
  • Lead participation in daily start-up meetings, safety talks, and operational priorities.
  • Drive engagement through the CHIP Program, PEER Program, and GEMBA communication boards.
  • Maintain a consistent shop floor presence to support employees and operations.
  • Plan and adjust manpower assignments to meet production schedules and labor goals.
  • Schedule vacations and holidays in alignment with operational needs and manage timekeeping documentation.
  • Train, onboard, coach, and motivate employees to drive engagement and performance.
  • Provide performance feedback, recognition, and corrective action in line with company policy.
  • Identify and help implement process improvements impacting safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Support departmental and company-wide goals through tracking and reporting as needed.
  • Monitor material inventory levels within assigned areas.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Perform special assignments and other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain adherence to all corporate Environmental Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
