About The Position

Quanex is looking for a Door Sawyer in Arlington TX. This position is responsible for working with team members to cut and assemble door screen frames to changing specifications. The schedule is Monday-Friday from 6:00 am - 2:30 pm.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of production, assembly or related work experience preferred.
• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to stand throughout the full shift (8 hours/day)
• Ability to use hand tools including tape measure air drill, pneumatics fixed straight-cut saw.
• Ability to follow both written and verbal directions.
• Ability to perform repetitive work requiring high levels of concentration.
• Must have flexibility to work occasional overtime or additional shift.
• Strict adherence to safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Cuts various components based on customer specifications and quality standards.
• Follows all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines; and notifies the supervisor of any existing or potential safety issues.
• Reads instructions from computer monitor ensuring proper length, type and color of materials.
• Verifies size, color, customer, configuration (hardware), according to labeling system.
• Applies labels to frame upon completion.
• Visually inspects product for defects throughout process.
• Follows all standard operating procedures
• Meet or exceed the production standards for the position.
