About The Position

Pacha New York is seeking a highly experienced and charismatic seasonal Door Manager to lead and oversee all front -of -house entry operations at one of New York’s most dynamic nightlife destinations. This role is pivotal in shaping the first and last impression of the venue. The Door Manager will be responsible for guest flow, entry standards, security coordination, VIP arrivals, team leadership, and ensuring a seamless, elevated arrival experience that aligns with our brand positioning. This is a hands -on leadership role requiring strong operational control, commercial awareness, and a deep understanding of nightlife culture in New York.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a Door Manager or senior front -of -house role within a high -volume nightclub, music venue, or luxury hospitality environment in New York.
  • Strong understanding of NYC nightlife culture and guest expectations, with experience managing large -capacity venues (1,000+ guests preferred).
  • Confident, composed, and highly professional, with strong leadership, conflict resolution, and crisis management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage VIP and high -profile clientele effectively.
  • Sound knowledge of New York State alcohol, entry, and safety regulations.
  • Decisive, solution -oriented, and commercially aware, with strong presence, emotional intelligence, and attention to operational detail.
  • Flexible and available to work late nights, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all guest entry points, ensuring smooth flow and a refined, controlled arrival experience, particularly during peak hours.
  • Manage guest lists, table reservations, VIP and artist arrivals, resolving escalations professionally and decisively.
  • Ensure full compliance with venue policies, age verification, local laws, and NYC fire and capacity regulations.
  • Lead and supervise door hosts, guest list teams, and security personnel, maintaining high grooming, conduct, and service standards.
  • Conduct pre -shift briefings and train the team on guest engagement, brand tone, and de -escalation techniques.
  • Work closely with Security, Events, VIP, and Programming teams to align entry operations with event strategy.
  • Oversee ticket scanning, wristband control, re -entry procedures, and crowd management during high -profile events.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and guest conversion at the door, providing post -event reporting and recommendations.
