About The Position

Sylvester's Dock and Door Service is seeking a Door Maintenance Technician based out of its Chesapeake, Virginia office to perform service calls for commercial customers. The technician will safely and efficiently install, maintain, diagnose, and repair high-speed and sectional doors, operators, gates, dock levelers, and related equipment. The role includes maintaining accurate digital work orders, communicating job status in real time, following job-site safety standards, and representing the company professionally with customers. Participation in an on-call rotation may be needed.

Requirements

• Two or more years of recent experience as a Door Technician is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Welding experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair commercial doors, high-speed doors, sectional doors, operators, dock levelers, and gate systems.
• Install new equipment and components at customer sites.
• Maintain accurate digital work orders and communicate job status in real time.
• Uphold safety standards at every job site.
• Represent Sylvester's professionally in customer interactions.
• Participate in an on-call rotation as needed.
