About The Position

The Door Assembler I assembles pre-hung door components and supports the production workflow. The role includes stocking lumber, doors, frames, plates, and other assembly materials; assisting with process setup; assembling components under line-leader direction; and loading, banding, and stacking finished products. The assembler may receive incoming materials, monitor inventory, operate equipment used in assembly, and help keep work areas and staging bays clean and organized. The position also requires attention to safety and quality, including producing error-free and damage-free results, providing excellent customer service, and contributing to a positive work environment. Overtime may be needed. Potential advancement opportunities based on experience include Door Assembler II and Door Assembly Lead.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to read a tape measure and use a hammer.
• Ability to learn to operate equipment such as routers, saws, presses, and staple guns.
• Availability for overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Prior carpentry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work on a pre-hung door assembly line.
• Stock doors, frames, plates, lumber, and other components and supplies for door assembly.
• Assemble components under the direction of line leaders.
• Load and band finished materials on carts or pallets, inside and/or outside.
• Receive incoming products, commodities, and materials.
• Maintain a neat and organized work area, including keeping bays and staging areas clean and organized and emptying trash receptacles as needed.
• Assist with setting up the component assembly process.
• Monitor production workflow and assist other areas as needed.
• Operate equipment necessary to the assembly process.
• Monitor inventory as required by location management.
• Maintain awareness of the work environment and produce error-free, damage-free results.
• Perform other duties as assigned, comply with company policies and standards, adhere to workplace safety commitments, and complete assigned training.
• Provide excellent customer service and participate in a positive work environment.
