About The Position

Assembly, fabrication or modification of windows, doors and other items. This is a physically demanding role in a warehouse setting. Appropriate safety gear (e.g., safety glasses, ear protection) is required at all times. Mid-Am Building Supply is the premier wholesale distributor of building products to America's Heartland. Requirements

  • Must be able to read and write so that written instructions and shipping papers can be easily followed and that corrections and needed information can be easily filled.
  • Analytical Skills - Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem.
  • Must be able to pass our forklift operators test after a normal training procedure.
  • Must have skills working with basic wood working and metal working tools.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of carpentry or construction a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Cutting, screwing, stapling, nailing, gluing, caulking and assembling of wood, metal and glass materials into door and window units.
  • Put away or stock inbound materials.
  • Perform regular inspections, routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
  • Load company and customer vehicles with outbound materials.
  • Safely operate a forklift to assist in handling of materials.
  • Sweep and clean facilities.
  • Observe all safety rules: (i.e. safety glasses, ear plugs, Lock Out/Tag Out, etc.).
  • Assist in counting inventory.
