The Door and Hardware Specialist is focused on creating door fabrication detail packages for the Door Fabrication Department. This role is perfect for an individual who enjoys detail-oriented work, can multi-task and understands architectural drawings and specifications. Requirements

• Ability to read, interpret, & understand architectural drawings and specifications
• Must be computer literate and have current/proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Must be able to communicate effectively, demonstrate professional conduct; excellent written & verbal communication skills and have the ability to work under pressure
• Because the job function may include communication with customers over the phone, communication skills must be clear, concise and with confidence

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the Glass or Construction industry is a plus

Responsibilities

• Create Door Fabrication detail packages for the Door Fabrication Department from customer quote requests, sales orders and shop drawings.
• Check all data provided on a given project to ensure that the project is detailed accurately. (ACCURACY IS CRITICALLY IMPORTANT)
• Check for hardware compatibility with doors and frames detailed.
• Order vendor hardware for detailed projects.
• Coordinate the receipt of vendor hardware.
• Work with engineering department regarding door and frame detailing.
• Check door hardware schedules on shop drawings as needed.
