About The Position

Performs service and installation of commercial doors and door hardware, electronic locking devices, auto-pedestrian doors, automatic vehicle gate operators, and other various security/life safety systems. Aligns, adjusts, repairs, maintains and calibrates various types of door hardware and gate equipment according to manufacturer and departmental specifications. Evaluates, diagnoses, troubleshoots systems and performs repairs as necessary. Assists in the development of training programs for other employees. Performs upgrades and additions to system to increase functionality, usability, and reliability. Assists with security camera installations, including mounting, aiming, and basic device setup. Assists with Cabling Technicians; pulls, labels, terminates, and tests low-voltage cabling (e.g., access control, camera, and related devices) per drawings and specifications. Performs a variety of basic skilled mechanical, locksmith, electrical, and electronic work. Maintain adequate parts inventory for service vehicle; keep inventory log. Test equipment before leaving job site; perform safety check. Assist and instruct others in install/service methods.

Requirements

  • 4+ years experience in door access
  • 18+ years old
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Team worker willing to do what it takes to get the job done
  • Ability to lift 50- 100+ lbs.
  • Valid driver's license & Clean driving record
  • Strong customer service and communication
