About The Position

Fox Bros. Piggly Wiggly is a 100% employee owned grocery chain with 10 locations in Southeastern Wisconsin. We have been awarded “Top Workplace” by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel for several years in a row. This position reports directly to the Bakery Department Manager and performs donut fryer and bakery functions in an efficient and timely manner. The basic function is to perform duties necessary to ensure bakery products are made, packaged and displayed per department requirements. This role may also involve waiting on and working with customers.

Requirements

Previous experience working in a bakery.
Able to perform Bakery operations, practices, and procedures within a retail grocery-bakery environment.
Be self-directed, results oriented, project a positive business image and lead by example.
Good attention to detail and follow through skills.
Good customer relations’ skills.
Be able to meet department productivity, policy, standard operating procedures, quality, and safety requirements.
Must be 18 years of age to operate certain department equipment.
Work hours required, including flexible shift schedules, overtime, and weekends.
Work in a physical environment with continuous exposure to cooler, water, and meet physical requirements.
Meet and maintain job productivity, attendance, punctuality, safety requirements, and wear safety attire.

Responsibilities

Perform donut fryer and bakery functions in an efficient and timely manner.
Ensure bakery products are made, packaged, and displayed per department requirements.
Wait on and work with customers.
Operate department equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Make basic computer entries required for this position.
Work efficiently with weights, measures, scales, and tally unit product retail prices.
