This role is responsible for preparing donors, donor areas, and equipment for the pheresis process. The technician will set up the autopheresis machine, monitor the donor and the process, and respond to any alarms or signals. They will disconnect the donor upon completion, remain vigilant for any donor reactions, and document incidents using a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA). The role also involves linking equipment to donors, managing donor flow issues, and ensuring accurate data recording in the electronic donor information management system. Maintaining a clean work environment, adhering to safety protocols (HSE, OSHA), and upholding confidentiality are key aspects of this position. Bilingual skills may be required, and cross-training in other areas may be necessary.
