About The Position

LifeServe Blood Center is a non-profit, community-based blood center that has served the needs of local hospitals and patients in our regions since 1947. As one of the 15 largest blood centers in the country, LifeServe provides blood products to more than 175 hospitals primarily in Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Illinois. This part-time position offers great pay while receiving valuable training in a healthcare-related field. Training will include interacting with and registering donors, conveying the importance of saving lives, performing medical history screenings, performing phlebotomy blood draws, and assisting with mobile and donor center setups and tear downs. Shifts are available three days per week, including Saturdays, with varying hours from day-to-day and week-to-week.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License
• Working knowledge and experience working on a computer system required
• Shifts may require long periods of standing/ walking
• Follow all training and operating procedures

• Travel to other LifeServe locations or mobile blood drives
