About The Position

The Donor Services Specialist is the first point of contact for donors who have questions about their accounts. This role involves helping donors navigate their accounts, answering questions, supporting their goals, and providing guidance. The position emphasizes deepening relationships, building trust, and making a positive impact through every interaction. The ideal candidate is caring, relational, detail-oriented, organized, thorough, and efficient, with a strong work ethic and a desire to help others. This role requires a high level of customer service, empathy, and a willingness to engage donors via phone (approximately 90% of the day). The specialist must be comfortable sitting for extended periods, flexible with computer and manual processes, and able to balance social interaction with accomplishing tasks. Identifying potential for increased donor engagement is also a key aspect of the role, alongside excellent verbal and written communication skills in the company's brand voice. Proficiency in MS Office Products and the ability to learn new systems quickly are essential, as is a passion for donors and a donor-centric approach.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or combination of education/training with relevant experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of customer service, administrative support, or donor-facing experience preferred.
  • Experience with CRM or database systems highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in processing information, managing records, and completing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining alignment with team goals and protocols.
  • Sound judgment in handling confidential information and discerning sensitive donor matters.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop sincere business/Ministry relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills (ability to write in our brand voice).
  • Experienced in MS Office Products and ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Donor passionate, donor centric.
  • Extremely detail oriented, organized, thorough, and efficient.
  • High work ethic and desire to help others on your team.
  • Thrive in an environment of over-the-top customer service by being highly relational and consistently empathetic.
  • Truly desire to pick up the phone and take inbound as well as make outbound calls to donors.
  • Comfortable and satisfied, sitting 6+ hours a day.
  • Flexible moving between computer and manual processes.
  • Social, relational, caring, with others, but able to balance that with getting to the work at hand.
