The Donor Services Associate I is responsible for accepting donated goods from the public and maintaining the donation area in a neat and orderly manner, both inside and outside. If located in a facility, the associate may assist in other areas of the store as needed. This role requires providing outstanding customer service, greeting donors, assisting with unloading donations, and ensuring receipts are offered. The position also involves preparing records and reports, keeping the supervisor informed of issues, sorting donations according to requirements, and ensuring the security and proper sorting of donations indoors. Maintaining a clean and orderly donation area, ensuring equipment is in good working order, and accurately counting donors are also key responsibilities. The associate must also ensure the donation site is properly secured at closing, report in at the beginning of each shift, and immediately report any maintenance or safety discrepancies. Attendance at required meetings and training, collaboration with Workforce and Family Services, and adherence to all policies, procedures, and safety regulations are expected. This includes proper use and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintaining agency confidentiality.
