About The Position

The Donor Service Center Coordinator is responsible for receiving, triaging, and documenting incoming donor referral calls. This role involves evaluating donor eligibility based on medical criteria, regulatory guidelines, and organizational protocols, determining donor registry status, and conducting risk assessment interviews. The coordinator also manages the logistics for recovery procedures, dispatches recovery staff, and ensures accurate data entry and documentation. Participation in quality assurance, audits, and continuing education is expected to maintain compliance and professional growth. The role requires representing the organization with professionalism, empathy, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Ability to work on night shift schedule.
  • Three 12-hour shifts per week.
  • Excellent documentation, organization, and assessment skills.
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with databases and office software.
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities accurately and efficiently.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with internal and external contacts.
  • Must maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information.
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of experience and an associate's degree in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, triage, and document all incoming donor referral calls in a timely and professional manner.
  • Evaluate donor eligibility based on medical criteria, regulatory guidelines, and organizational protocols.
  • Determine donor registry status and document findings accurately in approved systems.
  • Conduct donor risk assessment interviews (DRAI) with legally authorized persons, ensuring compassion and accuracy.
  • Obtain and document consent for donation through recorded telephone authorization.
  • Coordinate logistics for recovery procedures, including communication with surgical teams, hospitals, funeral homes, and partner agencies.
  • Dispatch recovery staff and ensure complete, accurate documentation of all communication and actions.
  • Enter data and upload recordings and records into approved software systems.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities, audits, and continuing education to ensure compliance and professional growth.
  • Maintain compliance with FDA, EBAA, and all applicable regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Assist with medical chart reviews and follow-up documentation as assigned.
  • Support team communication by providing timely updates and collaborating across shifts and regions.
  • Represent the organization with professionalism, empathy, and integrity in all communications.
