About The Position
We are seeking a relationship-driven and detail-oriented Donor Relations Specialist to enhance donor engagement, retention, and overall giving experience. In this role, you will serve as a key liaison between the organization and its donors, ensuring consistent communication, transparency, and stewardship. This is a fully remote position ideal for a professional who is passionate about nonprofit impact and excels at building meaningful, long-term relationships.
Requirements
- 2–5+ years of experience in donor relations, fundraising, customer success, or client relations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Blackbaud, DonorPerfect)
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment
- A passion for mission-driven work and community impact
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting major gifts or donor stewardship programs
- Familiarity with fundraising platforms and digital donation tools
- Background in event planning or donor engagement campaigns
- Knowledge of donor analytics and reporting tools
Responsibilities
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with individual donors, sponsors, and partners
- Manage donor communications, including acknowledgments, updates, newsletters, and impact reports
- Support fundraising campaigns, outreach initiatives, and donor engagement strategies
- Track donor contributions, interactions, and engagement metrics using CRM systems
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of donor acknowledgments and recognition efforts
- Collaborate with fundraising, marketing, and leadership teams to align messaging and outreach
- Assist in planning and coordinating donor events, virtual engagements, and campaigns
- Analyze donor data to identify trends and improve retention and engagement strategies
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with nonprofit regulations and data protection standards
