As a member of the Development Operations team, the Donor Relations Manager will support both the Major Gifts team and Partner Engagement team by leading stewardship efforts across the team and planning donor events. Additional responsibilities include Salesforce database administration support to improve data integrity and processes across Development team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 3-5 years of office work experience in marketing, fundraising or related field.
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Experience with database management required.
  • Strong organization and time management skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well with a diverse group of staff members, volunteers and community leaders
  • Must be flexible, able to take initiative, and work independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous nonprofit work experience, including fundraising responsibilities preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce strongly preferred.
  • Project management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as project manager by partnering with event leads to support execution of Atlanta Habitat Development team events, such as the Clark Howard Society reception, Inside the House, and Spirits Under the Spirit.
  • Support Salesforce data integrity by tracking event registrations and attendance via Salesforce campaigns.
  • Cultivate donor outreach and event registration lists to share with executive leadership.
  • Identify gaps in existing stewardship activities. Create and execute annual stewardship plans for major donors, recurring donors, and corporate donors. This includes but is not limited to sending thank you cards and donor gifts, as well as coordinating tours.
  • Oversee coordination of build starts and home dedication ceremonies. This includes scheduling, communication with Sr. Leadership Team, and program updates.
  • Support sponsorship team’s stewardship efforts by sending build planning emails using Salesforce email templates, as well as ordering house sponsor signs and plaques.
  • Send post-build surveys and thank you emails, create post-build impact reports to send to sponsors, and ensure donors clearly understand their impact by highlighting homeowner success stories and program outcomes.
  • Support Salesforce contact management by ensuring corporate and foundation contact lists in Salesforce are kept up to date for donor mailings and event invitations.
  • Build and execute efficient processes for donor communication, follow-up and thank you's.
  • Build and monitor donor engagement tracking reports in Salesforce.
  • Identify opportunities to improve donor retention through stewardship.
  • Leverage data (surveys, donor communication, and Salesforce data) to refine donor relations strategies as needed.
