About The Position

The Donor Relations Coordinator manages and executes a portfolio of event sponsorships including prospecting, fulfillment, and stewardship to ensure strong partner relationships and revenue generation. This position is responsible for managing a well- coordinated individual giving program designed to cultivate and solicit support from individuals and family foundations. The Donor Relations Coordinator works to strengthen existing relationships and establish new relationships that focus on gifts up to $10,000. Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of demonstrated fundraising experience.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of poise and professionalism in all circumstances.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Highly collaborative and adaptable in fast paced settings
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and networking skills with large groups as well as with individuals are essential.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined to regularly set and achieve work goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to take primary responsibility for diverse number of projects and to complete them in a timely manner and with limited supervision.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team setting.
  • Valid driver’s license with no more than three minor moving violations and/or accidents combined within the last 3 years, and no major moving violations in the past five years.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage the annual fund strategy in support of the mission and goals of ForKids, including prospect research and maintaining a moves management plan
  • In conjunction with the Director of Development and Chief People Officer, identify, cultivate and solicit individuals to support the Annual Fund with gifts up to $10,000
  • Strategically secures funds outside of annual campaign through corporate sponsorships for various events including Art Auction, Field Day, Raise the Roof, and other smaller events.
  • Cultivate and steward donor relationships through thoughtful engagement, personalized communication, and strategic touchpoints to inspire long-term support
  • Research donor companies’ corporate social responsibility, identify opportunities that align with ForKids goals, and work with CPO to create engagement initiatives and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with development leadership by providing data for developing long-term strategies for prospect identification, cultivations, and stewardship
  • Lead efforts in planning appropriate stewardship of mid-level donors.
  • Develop and implement a moves management plan to identify, research, and cultivate existing mid-level donors with a focus on increasing their financial support.
  • Conducts 1-2 personal contacts and 10-15 phone or email connections weekly with existing and prospective mid-level donors
  • Develop and maintain timelines for annual fundraising campaign to ensure fundraising initiatives are carried out in a timely manner.
  • Develop, implement, and manage the monthly giving program.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Team to provide input for marketing materials to support fundraising and donor cultivation.
  • Maintain detailed donor records within the development database and generate required reports.
  • As requested, attend speaking engagements on behalf of ForKids and represent the organization at community meetings; serve as lead for corporate and donor ForKids tours
  • Works closely with volunteers through Development Events and Projects
  • Ability to lift 30+ pounds

  • Provide service to internal and external customers according to standards as outlined in ForKids Customer CARE Manual.
  • Use agency resources (financial and non-financial) prudently.
  • Acknowledge and follow financial policies of the agency.
  • Participate in development and fundraising activities as needed and requested (ex: meeting with donors, providing tours, attending fundraising events).
  • Regularly engage, support and collaborate with volunteers to provide a meaningful experience.
