About The Position

Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC) is a vibrant university with approximately 11,000 students, designated as both a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) and Minority-Serving Institution (MSI). The university employs over 1,400 full-time and 2,000 part-time staff. TAMU-CC is part of the Texas A&M University System and is located on a beautiful 240-acre island campus on Corpus Christi Bay. The Donor Relations Assistant will be responsible for the administrative duties related to recognition and giving societies, including tracking memberships, ensuring benefits are received, and preparing donor acknowledgements. This role supports the Assistant Director of Donor Engagement in executing day-to-day operations for donor recognition and giving societies, managing the brick & bench campaign, and collaborating with development teams. The position also involves assisting with events, database updates, and other special projects within Institutional Advancement and Donor Relations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
  • High school diploma/GED with four (4) years of related experience may be considered as a substitute for the minimum education required.
  • Associate’s degree with two (2) years of related experience may be considered as a substitute for the minimum education required.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years of related experience in hospitality, communications, and creating correspondence.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute administrative duties related to recognition and giving societies, including tracking memberships and ensuring benefits are received.
  • Draft and prepare written acknowledgements to donors.
  • Execute the day-to-day operations for all donor recognition and giving societies.
  • Manage the operations and logistics of the brick & bench campaign.
  • Collaborate with Development to track donations and steward donors.
  • Coordinate with Administrative Operations and external vendors to ensure items are ordered and installed.
  • Assist with the preparation of written communications and standardized donor acknowledgements.
  • Work with Development Officers to ensure personalized acknowledgements are written and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Enter data and upload stewardship-related documents to the university's Raiser's Edge constituent database.
  • Prepare, upload, and manage email and other communication lists in Encompass.
  • Assist with Institutional Advancement and Donor Relations events.
  • Assist Advancement Services staff with database updates and other special projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
