About The Position

Hangers of Hope is seeking a new Donor Receiver who will travel between all three stores. Welcome with overwhelming biblical hospitality. The Receiver position is potentially the first interaction a person, customer, or donor has with Hangers of Hope Thrift Stores, therefore, it is imperative that the Receiver has a positive, outgoing personality that is welcoming and exudes the highest level of customer service.

Must be a people person with a pleasant and willing attitude and have a servant’s heart.
Must have a friendly, smiling demeanor.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must have exceptional hospitality talent to offer the highest level of customer service.
Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) with an excellent command of the English language.
Practicing believer in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Belief that the Bible is God’s true Word.
Commitment to growth in relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and in Christian maturity.

Responsibilities

Welcome donors in a timely manner in a way that they feel confident that Hangers of Hope Thrift Stores appreciates them and understands their value.
Handle the receiving and donation process with the utmost respect and care including, greeting the donor, assisting in unloading donations, telling the Hangers of Hope Thrift Stores story, repeating details back to donor and issuing a receipt.
Through the highest level of customer service and hospitality, plants a seed for repeated business and donations to Hangers of Hope Thrift Stores with every donor.
Maintain clean and well-organized reception area, to include the parking lot where applicable.
Adhere to and implement daily, all employee policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Policy and Procedures manual and the Bethesda’s Mission Statement.
Communicate, daily, to the Dock Supervisor or Production Manager any necessary information that relates to their respective departments.
Work with and effectively communicate with the Dock Supervisor or Production manager and transportation team, other processing members of the Receiving and Processing teams.
Daily serve with fellow employees so that there is a healthy and productive work environment.
Train dock workers to effectively use the donation receiving script to communicate appreciation, the Bethesda Story, and Beyond The Rack to donors.
Other duties as assigned. Not to exceed 25% of job scope.
