About The Position

This position is responsible for receiving donated goods while providing excellent customer service to Goodwill donors. Responsible for sorting donated goods and delivering them to the merchandise pricing and selecting staff to meet daily production standards and goals. Promotes and adheres to Goodwill Central Texas mission and values.

Responsibilities

  • Follows policies and procedures and executes directives in a timely manner.
  • Quickly and efficiently moves donors through the donation process and asks for assistance when necessary.
  • Maintains work station in a clean, organized and safe conditions.
  • Handles donations/products in accordance with donation guidelines.
  • Provides material handling assistance, as available, to support the merchandise pricing and selection team.
  • Follows processing guidelines. Accurately receives and sorts donations and purchased goods.
  • Consistently meets or exceeds production goals
  • Creates a high level of customer service throughout the store ensuring customers experience a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Ensures donors follow our unloading donation process while providing excellent customer service.
  • Provides excellent customer service by greeting, assisting and thanking customers while meeting customer’s needs in a timely manner.
  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with other employees to foster and promote a cooperative and inclusive working climate.
  • Ensures customer concerns and complaints are handled to the customers satisfaction.
  • Projects a favorable image of Goodwill-Easter Seals at all times.
  • Follows and adheres to loss prevention and safety procedures and initiatives.
  • Uses and maintains personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Participates in weekly safety huddles, monthly safety meetings, and drills.
  • Works to reduce worker’s compensation incidents and customer accidents.
  • Uses proper lifting techniques.
  • Uses power equipment responsibly and with appropriate certification.
  • Identifies recall products and properly removes them from processing.
  • Provide a work environment to train and develop participants in achieving their goals.
  • Executes job duties in a manner that promotes employment and a quality participant experience; assists in the training and development of participants.
  • Works respectfully and effectively across cultures.
  • Understands and actively supports the organization’s diversity and inclusion efforts.
  • Acts as a good role model.
  • Responsible for being familiar with Goodwill Central Texas Team Member Handbook and organizational policies, as well as where to find the most up-to-date versions on the intranet
