About The Position

The Donations Lead at Hope's Closet in San Pablo is responsible for supporting and leading daily donations operations. This role involves providing excellent customer service, maintaining organization within the donations processing area, donation door, warehouse, and stockroom. The position also includes assisting in the training, coordination, and supervision of donations staff and serve staff. The Donations Lead will act as a minister of the gospel and drive sales by executing daily inventory operations. They are expected to help create an inspiring team environment by setting and celebrating team goals, promoting open communication, and demonstrating a proactive work culture. The role also involves discovering training opportunities and collaborating with donations managers to provide coaching for team members.

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

  • Completion of a high school diploma.
  • Two-three years of relevant work experience, including retail or warehouse experience.
  • Ability to stand or walk on concrete flooring for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to bend, lift, grasp, reach, push, and pull materials.
  • Ability to walk on uneven surfaces, ladders, and stairs.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Two-three years of management experience preferred.
  • Ability to be forklift certified (in-house certification available).

Responsibilities

  • Support and lead daily donations operations.
  • Provide excellent customer service to donors and customers.
  • Maintain organization in the donations processing area, donation door, warehouse side, and stockroom.
  • Assist in training, coordination, and supervision of donations staff and serve staff.
  • Act as a minister of the gospel.
  • Drive sales by executing daily operations of inventory.
  • Lead the team in the absence of the assistant manager, including zoning staff, following up on daily duties, processing, and replenishment.
  • Help create an inspiring team environment through setting and celebrating team goals, promoting open communication, and demonstrating a proactive work culture.
  • Discover training opportunities and collaborate with donations managers to provide coaching for team members.
  • Participate and serve at church events like 'All-Skates'.
