About The Position

The Donation Site Manager (ADC) at Goodwill Industries of Dallas Inc is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of donation sites, ensuring efficient and effective collection of donations, maintaining high standards of customer service, and supporting the organization's mission to enhance the dignity and quality of life for individuals and families by strengthening communities and eliminating barriers to opportunity.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail management or a similar role, preferably within a non-profit organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing budgets effectively.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple donation sites efficiently.
  • Proficient in using retail management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with donors, staff, and the community.
  • Ability to analyze data and generate reports to improve operational efficiency.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by the operational needs.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of donation sites, including staffing, scheduling, and inventory management.
  • Ensure all donations are processed efficiently and accurately, maintaining high standards of quality and organization.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing donor inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate donation site staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Implement and maintain safety protocols to ensure the well-being of staff and donors.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support organizational goals and initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on donation site performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses and community organizations to promote donation site visibility and engagement.
