About The Position

This is a large, fast-paced, high-donation store position. The Donation Receiver is responsible for accepting donations and presorting them. This role requires the ability to perform daily job duties within the processing team and department, handle the receiving and donation process with respect and care, and assist the team by living out the KARM Stores' Mission and Core Values.

Requirements

Ability to write in legible, clear handwriting.
Must have a commitment to KARM Stores’ mission and mission statement.
Computer skills to include general typing skills and web browsing capabilities.
Ability to interpret and follow a variety of instructions and goals provided in written or oral form.
Ability to stand – up to 100% of a standard work day.
Ability to perform lifting and bending – up to 75% of a standard work day.
Ability to perform moderate to heavy physical activity, which may require frequent strenuous activity.
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds is essential for job performance.
Must be 18 or older.

Responsibilities

Accepting donations and presorting them.
Handling the receiving and donation process with the utmost respect and care, including greeting the donor, assisting in unloading donations, telling the KARM Stores story, repeating details back to the donor, and issuing a receipt.
Assisting the team by living out the Mission to Reveal, Tell & Provide and carrying out the Core Values of being Trustworthy, Team-Minded, and Teachable.
