About The Position

This is an entry-level position responsible for handling the receiving and donation process with respect and care. The role involves greeting donors, assisting with unloading donations, sharing the KARM Stores story, confirming details with the donor, and issuing receipts. The position requires the ability to perform daily job duties within the processing team and department, including accepting and presorting donations, and producing quick and accurate work in a fast-paced environment. Team members are expected to live out the mission to Reveal, Tell & Provide and uphold Core Values of being Trustworthy, Team-Minded, and Teachable.

Requirements

Ability to write in legible, clear handwriting.
Must have a commitment to KARM Stores’ mission and mission statement.
Computer skills to include general typing skills and web browsing capabilities.
Ability to interpret and follow a variety of instructions and goals provided in written or oral form.
Ability to stand – up to 100% of a standard work day.
Ability to lift and bend – up to 75% of a standard work day.
Moderate to heavy physical activity.
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds is essential for job performance.
Must be 18 or older.

Responsibilities

Perform daily job duties within the processing team and department, including accepting donations and presorting.
Produce quick and accurate work in a fast-paced environment.
Handle the receiving and donation process with the utmost respect and care, including greeting the donor, assisting in unloading donations, telling the KARM Stores story, repeating details back to the donor, and issuing a receipt.
