About The Position

Goodwill INDUSTRIES OF Southwest Florida, INC. is seeking a Donation Driver. This is a full-time position based in Fort Myers, Florida. Requirements

  • High School graduate or its equivalent
  • Able to pass DOT physical requirements.
  • Must be at least 26 years of age
  • Excellent driving record, as verified through the state Motor Vehicle Department
  • Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack and other equipment
  • Effective communication both written and verbal
  • Sufficient mobility to turn from side to side, lean kneel or bend and stand for long periods of time
  • See and recognize colors
  • Knowledge of basic math skills
  • Lift at least forty (40) pounds on a frequent and continuous basis and occasionally to team lift up to (100) pounds.
  • May have to occasionally work where temperatures and climate can fluctuate.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Some past experience in retail and/or stock handling.
  • Current valid Class B CDL with Airbrakes (minimum) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Driving DOT vehicles/equipment to provide excellent service to donors, stores, ADC locations and other specific delivery/pickup designations.
  • Loading and unloading trucks at designated delivery assignments following all specified policies/procedures.
  • Moving of RAW donated materials, all salvage commodities/sorts, trash, equipment/fixtures or other designated materials on/off trucks and sorting properly into the designated locations within the plant through the Kaizen system.
  • Full compliance to Kaizen guidelines/principles as outlined in the audit and 5-minute drills.
  • Assisting in all areas of the salvage sorting process and cross training to cover other specified job descriptions within the plant as needed.
  • Performing any other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
