About The Position

Goodwill Industries--Knoxville, Inc. is seeking a full-time Donation Center Attendant. Ideal candidates will be energetic, flexible, have excellent customer service skills, and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen. This role is responsible for receiving all donated items from contributors at the Donation/Recycle Center, sorting all donations into proper categories, and assisting customers in the disposal of recyclable materials.

Requirements

Energetic, flexible, and have excellent customer service skills.
Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Regularly required to stand and/or walk for long periods.
Use hands to handle.
Reach with hands and arms.
Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently.

Responsibilities

Receive donations: greet donors, accept and unload donated materials, and thank donors for their donated items.
Ensure that all donated goods received, inspected, sorted and placed into holding bins.
Assist customers in the disposal of recycled materials.
Cleaning duties (including but not limited to) donation center inside and outside area are clean and safe.
Customer service activities (including but not limited to) greeting, assisting, and thanking donors in a positive/professional manner.
Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
