About The Position

Works as a member of the store team to provide an excellent customer and brand experience and promote sales for Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona and its affiliated entities. Receives donations courteously and efficiently, then places items in the appropriate location in the production room or on the sales floor. The role may also provide floor care, assist with merchandise and equipment, and cross-train in other store positions as business needs require.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to pass a forklift certification class.
• Ability to speak and read English proficiently.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen where applicable for the position.
• Regular and consistent in-person attendance.

Responsibilities

• Accept donations from customers while providing outstanding customer service.
• Correctly label Gaylords.
• Offer a receipt to every donor, regardless of donation size.
• Ask whether donated products may be hazardous and provide customers with a list of appropriate disposal locations.
• Write sales tickets and sold signs for furniture, electrical items, and other large items.
• Help customers load and unload furniture and other items to and from vehicles.
• Maintain merchandise placement and production-room organization according to PPM (picture process map) standards.
• Assist with loading and unloading merchandise onto or off trucks or trailers as needed.
• Safely operate a pallet jack and walkie stacker.
• Conduct daily safety inspections of company-owned equipment, including walkie stackers, and follow and ensure compliance with safety rules and use of appropriate safety equipment.
• Perform floor care duties at a retail store as needed.
• Cross-train in other store positions as business needs require.
• Maintain regular and consistent in-person attendance.
