OUR VALUES HOPE values: Humility, Ownership, Perseverance, Engagement The Domestic Violence (DV) Specialist II is primarily responsible for providing direct services to participants who are involved in domestic/family violence working with a high-risk population due to the criminal nature of domestic violence. This role is 15 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Four-Year College Degree from a school accredited by a recognized accrediting agency - general major.
  • Requires basic knowledge or training in a specialized or technical field or trade, such as social work, professional accounting, finance, business administration, and marketing.
  • Two years of experience providing domestic violence services required.
  • Valid Hawaii driver's license.
  • Clear driver's abstract.
  • Willingness to travel in personal vehicle on an as-needed basis throughout the island.
  • Subject to a criminal background investigation.
  • Successful completion of CPI classes OR other Behavioral Management certification as may be contract-mandated.

Responsibilities

  • Providing direct services to participants who are involved in domestic/family violence.

  • Building healthy relationships.
  • Facilitating groups.
  • Contacts both inside and outside the organization in order to furnish or obtain information and/or provide participant services.
