The Domestic Violence Advocacy Program is a Human Services program of the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska focused on providing services to victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault, including women, men, children, elders, and their families. The Domestic Violence Advocate offers supportive services to survivors and their dependents to address issues such as housing, benefits, employment, childcare, medical and dental care, education, legal matters, mental health, and substance abuse. Working in conjunction with the Case Manager, the Advocate provides case management and advocacy services to both shelter residents and non-resident clients. The role involves assisting with meetings and support groups, performing required reporting and documentation, and conducting awareness education on domestic violence issues and the program. This position is primarily day shift but may require swing or overnight shifts at the Domestic Violence shelter.
