About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Domain Architect to join the UVSDK team, a critical driver of Enterprise Strategic Initiatives. UVSDK powers core shipment creation, barcode generation, and scanning technology embedded across global operations. In this dynamic role, you will lead the long-range planning, design, and technical integration of these mission-critical solutions to ensure they directly and efficiently impact our customers. By translating complex business challenges into scalable, secure architectural solutions, you will serve as a key technical guide and champion for enterprise-wide innovation across our development teams.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information Systems, business and/or equivalent formal training or work experience.
Five (5) years work experience in information technology or engineering environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Maintaining a byte-code virtual machine
Working with embedded systems technologies.
FedEx domain knowledge in: shipment creation, scanning, barcodes, and consolidation.

Responsibilities

Lead the long range planning for the business, application, data and technical architecture for the solutions in a specific domain.
Ensuring all solutions within that domain work logically and coherently together.
Applies enterprise principles, standards and practices serving as the conduit for influencing Enterprise Architecture direction while optimizing solutions.
Responsible for decisions/priorities regarding the overall domain architecture.
Translate business impacts for the domain into architectural solutions (current and target state).
Develop architecture solutions that meet performance, scalability, reliability and security needs.
Provide technical guidance to development team.
Mentor those in less senior positions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
