About The Position

The American Girl Dallas retail store is looking for a dynamic individual as an Experience Associate, who has the manual and interpersonal skills to deliver friendly and informative service, as well as, the flexibility to adapt to changing business needs. This role involves approaching, acknowledging, and assisting customers promptly. A key responsibility is executing style for dolls according to company standards and demonstrating proper doll hair care and doll skin care techniques. The position also includes performing ear piercing services, for which training and certification will be provided. Trained associates will follow an ear piercing procedure checklist, complete waivers, and review After Care procedures with guests. Additionally, the role requires conducting inventory of salon supplies, stocking the salon area, and communicating replenishment needs. Participation in salon events such as Doll Hair and Manicure Day events, hair demos, and private birthday parties is expected. The associate will also assist in other areas of the store as needed, share product knowledge, answer questions, and suggestively upsell other Salon services and products. Sharing information on store events, promotions, and activities with customers, and collaborating with co-workers to create a positive work environment and assist in training new associates are also part of the role.

Requirements

Must be willing to perform girl ear piercing services.
Must be willing to work a flexible retail schedule, including days, nights and weekends.

Nice To Haves

Sales experience in the specialty retail or service industry, preferred.
Experience styling hair, especially for dolls, preferred.
Experience working with children, preferred.
