About The Position

No Place Like Home Pet Sitting & Dog Walking is hiring dependable, compassionate animal lovers to join their team. This is a year-round, consistent part-time position for individuals who enjoy working independently, staying active, and making a difference in the lives of pets and their families. The role involves caring for dogs and cats, traveling between clients' homes, and communicating via a mobile app. Local candidates are preferred due to route-based scheduling.

Requirements

Reliable and punctual
Able to commit for at least one year
Comfortable working independently
Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance
Comfortable handling dogs of various sizes and energy levels
Able to walk, climb stairs, bend, lift, and remain active in all weather conditions
Comfortable using smartphone apps and mobile technology

Nice To Haves

Previous pet care experience is helpful, but not required—we provide training
Some holiday availability is preferred
Additional consideration will be given to applicants available during school breaks and major holidays

Responsibilities

Walk dogs and provide exercise, companionship, and enrichment
Care for cats, including feeding, fresh water, litter box maintenance, and attention
Travel between clients' homes throughout your shift
Send visit updates and photos through our mobile app
Ensure pets are safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away
Use our scheduling and communication app daily
Submit visit notes and photos after each visit
Track time and mileage accurately
Maintain professional communication with clients and supervisors
