About The Position

Shoreline Happy Paws is seeking a part-time Dog Walker and Social Media Content Creator to join their team. This role involves approximately 25 hours per week, with a pay rate of $20 to $25 per hour, and offers a path to full-time employment. The position is based in the Connecticut Shoreline area and requires a blend of animal care and storytelling. The company has been trusted by local families since 2010 and focuses on providing excellent care for dogs through walking and hiking services. The content creator will be responsible for showcasing this care to the community through various social media platforms.

Requirements

• Must be 18 or older.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Have your own reliable car.
• Own a smartphone that films in 4K.
• Ability to walk and hike several miles a day in all weather conditions.
• Ability to handle dogs of all sizes.
• Comfortable on camera.
• Provide a portfolio of video, photo, and design work.
• Must show up and communicate effectively: be on time, responsive, and provide clear yes or no answers.
• Prioritize dogs' safety above all else, including capturing content.
• Create 100% organic content (no AI-written captions or AI-generated images).
• Willingness to give and receive feedback openly and ask questions when unclear.
• Commitment to protecting clients' privacy; no identifiable information about their homes in posts.
• Ability to work independently and manage the schedule without reminders once trained.
• Must pass a background check and sign an employment agreement.

Responsibilities

• Walk and hike a regular group of dogs each week, with full training provided.
• Film and edit 3 short videos per week for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
• Take photos, design carousels in Canva, and post daily Stories.
• Write captions in a warm, helpful voice.
• Share the Founder's weekly blog across platforms.
• Capture behind-the-scenes moments with the team and at community events.
• Track results and share a short monthly report on content performance.
