About The Position

Four-Legged Fun Zone, a division of Tailored Pet Services LLC, is seeking experienced, positive-reinforcement dog trainers to establish an ongoing group training program at their Everett facility. This is an independent contractor opportunity for a trainer who wants a consistent indoor location without the expense of leasing and maintaining their own facility. The role requires a trainer committed to building a recurring training program, utilizing a professionally maintained training environment designed specifically for dogs and their owners. The facility offers a large indoor training room, a training studio, and a fenced outdoor training area, along with amenities such as a client lounge, professional rubber flooring, restrooms, and convenient parking. Trainers will be responsible for setting up and tearing down classes, providing their own curriculum and equipment, marketing their program, and maintaining professional liability insurance. Optional administrative services for registration and payment collection are available for an additional fee.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience independently leading group dog training classes (not assisting).
• Professional certification (CPDT-KA, KPA-CTP, IAABC, etc.) or equivalent professional education and experience.
• Experience creating and marketing group dog training classes, workshops, or events.
• Uses positive reinforcement training methods.
• Professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain coverage before teaching classes).
• Ability to operate as a 1099 independent contractor.
• Commitment to establishing a recurring training program at Four-Legged Fun Zone.
• Reside within 15 miles of Four-Legged Fun Zone (6628 Evergreen Way, Everett, WA 98203).

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead an ongoing group dog training program.
• Utilize the provided professional dog training facility for classes.
• Market and grow their own training program.
• Provide their own curriculum and training equipment.
• Set up and tear down classes.
• Maintain professional liability insurance.
• Comply with the terms of the Facility Use Agreement.
• Respect scheduled facility reservation times.
• Clean and maintain the training area after each class, including returning equipment, vacuuming/sweeping, cleaning accidents, disposing of waste, and removing personal belongings.
• Teach recurring evening and/or weekend classes.
